Our history & founder
Engineering roots.
A wider ambition.
Founded by Ian Roos, Gini Technologies brings energy and resource technologies together in one development portfolio. Its story connects earlier work in oil recovery, water treatment and separation with a broader ambition across wind energy, thermal infrastructure and intelligent wells.

Founder · Gini TechnologiesIan Roos
Ian Roos founded Gini Technologies to develop technologies for energy and resource applications. His founding role connects the company's direction with a portfolio spanning eMoya, Fluxion, Pavilion technologies, cavitation separation and AICV.
The common thread is practical engineering: turning a defined operating problem into a system that can be developed, tested and applied.
- Engineering roots
Oil recovery and water treatment
Earlier ORS project experience covered heavy-oil recovery, oil–water separation, storage-tank treatment and produced-water processing. This provides the background to the resource-recovery strand of the portfolio.

Cavitation as a process tool
The ORS project history records field work in West Texas on hydrodynamic cavitation for gas and hydrocarbon separation, alongside salt-reduction treatment for produced water.
Explore cavitation separation - 2014
Expanding into wastewater and brine
Following the oil-industry slowdown, ORS redirected its treatment work toward mining wastewater and brine applications, extending the engineering experience beyond oil production.
- Gini today
A connected technology portfolio
Under founder Ian Roos, Gini Technologies presents five development areas: eMoya wind generation, Fluxion thermal infrastructure, Pavilion resource recovery, cavitation separation and AICV well control.
